Graham Newing at the Pembrey Pottery
The Pembrey Pottery opened in 2006 as a relocation of
Graham’s previous studio premises in Westbury,
Wiltshire, which was originally opened in 1969
Pembrey Pottery is situated in
the pretty seaside village of
Pembrey in Carmarthenshire,
South Wales. Located centrally
in the village it has easy
parking and is popular with
both locals and visitors.
Pottery by Graham Newing is
exhibited throughout the UK
and abroad but those who
make the pilgrimage to
Graham’s own studio are
treated to a fine array and choice of pots, art pieces and sculptural
ceramics  by a respected master of his craft.
Work by local artists is also exhibited at
Pembrey Pottery.
Graham offers private classes and courses.
“I find the challenge of a limited pallet &
style exciting & rewarding, with never
ending possibilities & encounters with
my imagination.”
Graham Newing
Graham works in stoneware &
porcelain thrown on the wheel. The
organic shapes are individually
decorated by scraffito through
coloured glazes. An influence of
classical Greek, African art, with
elements of art nouveau can be
seen. His work has been described
as colourful, european, elegant &
sophisticated.
The Pembrey Pottery opened in
Carmarthenshire,  South Wales in
